Sometimes you only want to share information with employees or customers or members of a group. That’s when an intranet or a portal can help. Depending on how secure you want the information to be, there are a variety of ways you can go.
Some may disagree with our definition, but at it’s simplest, we think an intranet is an internal website that only employees or people behind a firewall can access, whereas a portal is an external website (i.e. on the public internet) that anyone can access as long as they have a valid user name and password, or some other credentials that validate who they are.
We’ve worked on both, from creating the site requirements and structure, through providing initial content and user guides/ help. Contact us if you have an existing intranet or portal that could use a little help, or want to create a new one from scratch.
