Caritas/Pepe La Sal-Help for families in Need The Club has installed a food collection point at the Pepe la Sal supermarket on the Moraira / Calpe Road, Moraira. In conjunction with Caritas the purpose is to encourage customers to place food to help many families suffering hardship, especially in the current economic climate. Lion President John Snell with Lion Sandy Skitch accompanied by two members of staff from Pepe La Sal at the recent installation of the food collection point. Typical food requirements are :- · Olive or Sunflower Oil · Rice, · Pasta · Dry or tinned pulses ( lentils, beans, chick peas etc) · Tins of Tomatoes · Canned fish or meat · Biscuits · Sugar · Powdered or long life milk. The food will be collected by members of Teulada Moraira Lions Club and then be delivered to local branches of Caritas in Teulada Moraira and Benitachell for distribution to the needy Food may also be received at the Lions Book stall held in Moraira market the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month.
